Easy As Lying: The Music of Shakespeare's Globe

This spirited musical celebration honors the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death. The program features songs the Bard mentions by name plus works by his musical contemporaries including Morley, Playford, Byrd, Dowland, and Robert Johnson, interspersed with readings from the plays. Dances from the Elizabethan and Jacobean courts and a saucy ballad or two round out the evening’s festivities.
