Mozart’s Requiem is one of the monuments of choral music. His musical and dramatic genius make the fear of death, grieving, mourning, and healing come alive in a musical tour de force in this setting of the ancient words of the Mass for the Dead.

Opening the program are quite contrasting settings of secular words by Metastasio. The Nocturnes are songs of love, lust, betrayal and reconciliation simply and beautifully set to Mozart’s music.
